Our Home Educating Lives
The Smith Family
Our boys of 11 and 13 love a bit of structure and routine to their days, providing a variety of opportunities and learning experiences. We combine our time with structured academics, hands-on learning, physical exercise, well-being, and understanding of the world we live in. We also have a bit of fun and appreciate the joy of childhood and the joy of home education.

How our home education style lets our children thrive.
My children are learning all the time in a variety of different learning styles; home education
allows us to offer a bespoke individualised education tailored to their interests, strengths,
weaknesses and learning styles.
Academically, they have a lot of 1 to 1 with myself or tutors to support their learning, and their
learning environment is distraction free and set up for them. They are thriving academically and
plan to take GCSEs.
We view a child's wellbeing as key to being able to access learning, and as parents, we know
how best to ensure these needs are being met. Home education has given us lots of
opportunities to get out and about, learning hands on and with others. We have had fun doing
so and built strong relationships with our children. Our boys have developed good values and
resilience and become confident individuals.
